Take a look in our ebay store at the huge selection of spinnerbaits and buzz baits.

Spinnerbaits are a versatile lure that works great in all seasons but they should probably be the first baits you use in the spring.

Buying cheap spinnerbaits is not a good idea. Good quality spinnerbaits are equipped with ball bearing swivels, high quality skirts, blades, etc.

Spinnerbaits are excellent for night fishing. Use dark colors like black, dark purple, red, dark blue etc. . Black blades are also great for night fishing. Try a black spinnerbait with a single gold Colorado on moonlit nights.

Sometimes when you are not getting many strikes instead of changing to another spinnerbait you can simply change out the swivel blade on the lure you are using and  attract more fish.

When fishing if you feel a pause in the blade thump be sure to set the hook because a fish may have picked up your bait and is bring it towards you.

There are commonly three different blade shapes used on spinnerbaits. The Colorado is more round shaped and produces the most vibration. The willowleaf is more slender and long it produces less vibration. The Indiana is more of a teardrop shaped blade which the vibration it produces is in-between a willow and a Colorado. Turtleback blades are actually a mag willow and are also a good choice for more vibration. Try a deep cup Colorado for max thump and vibration.

Quad blade spinnerbaits resemble a school of bait fish running from prey. The multi blade setup creates a lot of flash that can draw fish from far away.

When fish become finicky sizing down may help produce strikes. Many a big bass has been caught on a 1/8 oz. or mini spin.

The spinnerbait head weight will determine how deep it will go. In order to fish deep and keep the bait deep some fishermen will use a heavier head and smaller blades. In shallow water with heavy cover try a lighter spinnerbait to stay above cover.

Vary your retrieve speed when fishing a spinnerbait until you find what triggers strikes.
