This mantle clock is very rare and unusual.  The top of the clock has a face in the front and swirls that outline the clock.  Then a shell sits on a mantle with the fireplace (with fire) below it and 2 large upside down fish become the feet of the piece.  There is another fish foot in the back hold up the rest of this large fireplace mantle piece.

The ceramic parts of the clock are shown as Made in Italy on the bottom of the piece.  The ceramic mantle is painted blue and white with gold accents.  There are some very small chips on the front of the clock, a few pin holes on one side, a chip on the base in the back and the nose of the fish in the back is also chipped (see photos).  The clock stands 15.4 inches high, 7.6 inches long and 6 inches wide.

The clock movement was made in West Germany by Mercedes and is not in working condition.  The outside condition of the clock movement is very good with a few scratches on the back.
