~*~ Hello and welcome to the Textile Trunk! Please follow us on Instagram, we are @textiletrunk ~*~

Such a beautiful, historical chemise! So much detail, from the bright lacey edging to the red embroidered MB on the chest, this antique chemise has so much character. This textile is French and dates to around 1910 and is made of linen. This textile would have been worn under clothing, to bed, and for work wear. This is a lovely chemise, medium weight linen. The tone of the textile is a warm natural ecru tone and the lacey edges are a brighter whitish tone. The neckline is a notched neck with two buttons, and once fastened these buttons create a lovely crewneck fit. The neckline also features the lovely lacey detail, so stunning! The texture is medium weight, natural feeling, and relatively smooth to the touch. This appears to be a combination of hand and machine stitched. This piece would be beautiful hanging as a decorative textile in a bathroom or powder room, or perfect for wearing - this is a very high quality textile with many years left to enjoy! I have many hundreds (really, thousands!) of wonderful French work wear pieces in stock!
