~*~ Hello and welcome to the Textile Trunk! Please follow us on Instagram, we are @textiletrunk ~*~

Such a gorgeous pillow cover This lovely French pillow cover has a toile print and dates to around 1900. From what I can see, the print appears to be "L'escarpolette" which is French for "The Swing." The pattern depicts a young girl swinging while surrounded by scenes of life in the countryside. Such a lovely scene! We have a set of three of these wonderful pillow covers, we are selling them each INDIVIDUALLY. Only one pillow will be sent with a purchase of the quantity "1". If you would like to add more, simply add this item to your cart and increase the quantity. We have photographed all three together to show the slight variation in color between the printed toile due to fading that has occured over the years. If you purchase a pillow, we will send you one of the three pictured! This textile is constructed with a medium to heavy weight cotton fabric and it is machine stitched. It is a little worn which makes it extremely smooth to the touch!. There is a ruffled edge on this duvet cover. The bottom opens which allows you to insert a pillow into the center and has a button closure. This textile is a beautiful creamy almost yellow beige ground and the print is a deep burgundy. The pattern has faded into a gorgeous burgundy color. Truly remarkable! We have several other pieces of this fabric in various forms in a set. Please search our shop for "L'escarpolette" to view the remaining textiles that match this one! Such a beautiful duvet cover, it would be perfect for use on a bed or for upholstery or pillow making projects! The opportunities are endless!

MEASUREMENTS: This lovely textile measures approximately:
Length: 28 inches (including the ruffle)
Width: 30 inches (including the ruffle)

CONDITION: This textile is in as found, not freshly laundered condition. There are some light storage marks, and age marks on this textile. The ground has darkened quite a bit with age. This textile is in wonderful condition for its age and use, however it is not without signs of time and use, inherent in antique textiles!
