From the archives of The Robbins Co of Attleboro, MA, this listing is for a vintage steel stamping die used to make the obverse of an award medal for Chevrolet Dealerships. These medals were typically struck in sterling silver. Text on the die reads SERVICE SUPERIORITY TRUCK SERVICE. The stamping die has a maximum base diameter of 3” and a narrow engraved end of 1 ½” diameter. A die like this would have a collar placed around the narrow end during minting to maintain the round shape of the medal. The die is dated March 1973 and the total height is 3”.
