This listing is for a vintage silk Japanese kimono.   I'm not sure of the age but I've had it myself about 30 years and it was a vintage kimono when I bought it.  I lived in Hawaii in the early 80's and there were 2 kimono shops on Oahu at that time.  No idea if they're still there.  But I spent a lot of time looking over all the kimonos.  I just think they're about the most beautiful articles of clothing out there.

This is actually an absolutely gorgeous item of clothing.  It's an off white patterned  silk with painted butterflies done in green and red and lined in gold. It's really unusual in that you think of butterflies with spring colors but here they are matched with Christmas colors and the effect is really striking.

   There are a few minor issues.  There is scattered light staining but not much.  Maybe a few loose threads under the arms.  There are scattered dots on the fabric which at first I thought was a flaw but they in the design all over the kimono.

54 inches long from shoulder to hem.  Sleeves are 34 inches long.  This would just be stunning hung on a wall.

It was a little windy when I was taking pictures so this isn't hanging perfectly straight in them.
