JEAN PATOU 1000 PARFUM SPRAY 7.5ml  (1/4) FL.OZ Vintage 1970s to 1980s

1000 was launched in 1972. Classed as a Chypre Floral the nose behind this fragrance being Jean Kerleo. Top notes, Bulgarian Rose, Osmanthus, Green Notes, Tarragon, Coriander, Angelica and Bergamot. Middle notes, May Rose, Jasmine, Lily-of-the-Valley, iris, Geranium and Eucalyptus. Base notes, Oakmoss, Violet, Civet, Sandalwood, Patchouli, Vetiver, Musk and Amber

The sealed plastic case / box, is in A1 mint gift condition & will make a spectacular rare gift, the cellophane of box was opened to take photos & is now resealed.

The parfum has never seen the light of day, I have tested this, it is astonishing, & will make a spectacular gift for the lover of the original 1000.  The parfum being housed in a stunning silk satin lined conker toned suede box, never in all my years of handling vintage perfumes have a seen a better example & only the 3rd I have had for sale in 15 years.

A gorgeous gold capped spray bottle stands at 8.2cm (3.2") / is decorated with a velvet ribbon & tag, categorically not to be confused with the later barcoded near unrecognizable parfum which was a very different formula, for Proctor & Gamble, who bought Jean Patou´s parfums division in the 1980s, stripped the parfum of the majority of its priceless natural essences.

Dated to the 1970s & packaged prior to mandatory barcoding which came into play in the mid-end of the 1980's,  " Ce parfum a ete mis  en flacon sous le N* 08866 Y JEAN PATOU PARIS " printed to the  tag which decorates the bottle,
