Antique Half Pint

Milk/Cream Bottles

Lot of two half pint bottles. One

is a clear glass squat bottle from

Borden's, with 24 vertical "staves"

that run all around the bottle. It's

about 4" tall embossed on one side

it says "Property of Borden's Farm

Products Co. Inc.". On the other side

it has the Borden's trademark with the

words "Quality Service". The other

bottle is about 5 1/4" tall and seems

to have a pale pink shading in the

glass. It is shaped similarly to a

regular quart bottle, with the sloping

neck. The stencil lettering is hard to

see but on one side it reads "Cream

for Cereals", and the other side says

"Crowley's - As Good As Any,

Better Than Some".

Condition: Both have some residue inside

that did not come out with a simple washing.

The lettering on the Crowley's bottle is faint.

There is a small chip in the top edge of the

Borden's bottle (see photo).
