Historical context: Jindrich Halabala was a famous Czech furniture designer. He broke through with his iconic designs of furniture for company UP Zavody in Brno during years 1925-1955 where he worked as a main designer.
His work is considered as a connection between Czech cubism, art deco and European modern art after World War 2.
The most legendary pieces designed by Jindrich Halabala are chairs and armchairs made from bend tubes.
Interesting fact is  that some resources state this and similar sets of miniature furniture designed by Halabala were intended for use as a salesman samples and the it has become more toys than samples.
