1. Introduction to the main functions of the instrument

This instrument is an integral design, mainly composed of a base, a friction transmission mechanism and a counter. The specimen and sandpaper are fixed on one side of the base with a specimen clamp, and the friction head with white cotton cloth is set on the specimen by shaking the handle. The reciprocating movement of the stroke causes the white cotton cloth and the sample to rub against each other. After rubbing ten times, observe and compare the gray card to evaluate the degree of stickiness on the white cotton cloth. The dyeing or surface coating stability of the fabric sample is judged. Evaluation and selection provide reference data. This instrument is suitable for yarn, yarn-dyed, printing and dyeing textiles and all fabrics on or inside toy products.

Steps

1. Sample preparation

1.1 The sample and standard friction white cloth should be adjusted in a constant temperature and humidity environment.

1.2 When the sample has multiple colors, all colors should be rubbed to

1.3 If the area of each color is large enough, samples must be taken separately.

Cut the sample and do dry friction and wet friction respectively to ensure that all colors are rubbed.

5 If the front and back sides of the sample are made of different materials and colors, both the front and back sides should be tested for color fastness to friction. 6 The dry and wet rubbing fastness should not be repeated in the same part of the sample.

2. Dry friction

2.1 Place the sample flat on the friction meter covered with sandpaper, make the length direction of the sample consistent with the stroke direction of the instrument, and fix the sample on the pressure plate. The clamp should be flat.

2.2 Fix the standard friction white cloth on the friction head, clamp it with a spring clip, and gently place the friction head on the sample;

2.3 It should be ensured that the sample does not slip or wrinkle during friction

2.4 Shake the friction arm 10 times at a rate of once per second to make the friction arm rub back and forth 20 times;

2.5 Remove the standard rubbing white cloth and grade it.

3. Wet friction

3.1 Completely soak the standard friction white cloth in distilled water;

3.2 After taking it out, clamp it in the filter paper and squeeze it to make it have a certain moisture content

3.3 The remaining steps are the same as the above dry friction steps

4. Result processing


4.1 Before grading, use transparent glue to gently rub loose threads on the white cloth.

4.2 Use three layers of unused white rubbing cloth under the rubbing white cloth to be assessed, and evaluate the rubbing according to the standard gray color card.
