This advertising page is by the Elgin Watch Company. The ad is one in a series of ‘Through the Ages with Father Time’ ads by Elgin.  

The ad has a photo of an Elgin pocket watch in a presentation box. Above this is a painting of a prehistoric caveman and cavewoman. The man is an ugly hairy thing; the cavewoman - gorgeous. Who says sex doesn't sell.  

Ad text starts “The Cave-Man’s Timepiece” and goes on about burning a knotted, twisted grass to tell time.  

This ad is full page, approx. 7” x 10”, carefully removed from an actual 1920 magazine.
