On the obverse of the coins in the central part, the state emblem of the Republic of Kazakhstan is depicted against an ornamental background. Along the circumference there are inscriptions “KAZAQSTAN RESPUBLIKASY” in the state and Russian languages. Elements of national ornament are depicted in the left and right sectors. In the lower part there is an inscription “TENGE”, the number “500”  indicating the denomination of the coin.

Reverse: the image of the old man with tiger and bear; number «2016» means year of coinage ; inscription «TANGUN - TAGHALY ANHYZ» in Kazakh. On the left side of the silver coin there are inscriptions “Ag ​​925” and “24 g”, denoting the metal from which the coin was made, its standard and weight.  Lateral face is grooved. Quality: PROOF. Very long time ago there lived the prince charming by the name of Hvanun. The son of Hvanin (God of heaven), Hvanun wanted to help people and has asked the father to make him the governor of the Korean peninsula. Hvanin has granted desire of the son, and Hvanun has been sent to Earth accompanied by 3000 servants.

Hvanun has descended to Earth about a sacred sandalwood on a slope of the mountain Tkhebeksan, On has accepted a title of Chkhonvan or "Heavenly King" and has based Sinei - the city of God. He appointed three ministers — winds, a rain and clouds, and has trained people in 360 crafts and arts, such as agriculture, medicine, weaving, carpenter's craft and fishery. He also has taught them to distinguish the good and evil and has created the code of laws.

In those days in a big cave about a sandalwood near which Hvanun has accepted human shape there lived a bear and a tiger. Every day they went to this sacred tree and prayed to Hvanun. Eventually the Heavenly King has taken pity on them, He has called them to himself, has given them 20 heads of garlic and a sacred bush of a wormwood and has told: "Eat it and don't do attempts to see daylight within 100 days. Then you will become people"

The bear and tiger have eaten garlic and a wormwood and have returned to a cave. The tiger hasn't passed test and soon left a cave. The bear patiently waited and in 21 days has turned into the beautiful woman. She became known under the name of Unne. Unne rejoiced to the transformation, but was very lonely. Therefore she has again gone to a sandalwood, and has handled prayers to the Heavenly King, And again Hvanun has listened to entreaties of the woman. Unne has given birth to the son who was called Tangun (Dangun), to his birth all people rejoiced. Subsequently Tanggong became the first governor of the peninsula who was an ordinary person. He has made the capital of Pyongyang and called the kingdom Choson. Later Dangun has transferred the capital to Asadal on a grief Tkhebeksan and rules of 1500. After that he has renounced a throne and became a mountain deity.
