Description

   In all our years selling antique furniture, we have never come across anything like this antique French coffee table... We believe the central brass/copper dish was originally used as a brazier, for heating or perhaps cooking.

 Nowadays, it could have several uses: a container for flowers or plants, or it could even be used with a fondue set. With the glass bowl in place, it could hold fruit, or seafood on ice... Or add a platter for antipasto or a cheese board, or a sweet selection of pastries and chocolates. 

 What a great talking point, however it's used!

    • Condition

    This table is in very sound condition for an antique item of this age and use. Some signs of wear as shown, which are in keeping with its rustic character.

    This sale is for the antique French oak coffee table with brass/copper dish and glass bowl only. (The food and all the other items are not included.) Please note that our photos form part of the item description and are a close indication of the actual colour.

    • Delivery:

       Buyer pays for delivery. We advise you to make enquiries and get quotes before you buy, ensuring that your carrier will wrap your item for delivery.

      We can recommend reliable carriers who deliver locally and interstate: please email us via eBay, if you would like a quote.

      • Pick up:

        Due to a genuine shortage of space, all items must be picked up within 10 days of purchase, unless a prior arrangement has been made.
