Undated, but 1914. German text, but chiefly illustrations. 500 illustrated plate pages. Various ornament throughout history: Egyptian, Greek, Roman, Gothic, etc. Ornaments are from architecture (exterior), (interior design) build-ins inside buildings, stained glass, furniture--with sections on tables/desks, chairs, chests/bureaus, beds, legs, banisters, dressers, doors, frames, etc. etc.  Every page is another wonderful selection of beautiful design, and a hard book, for art lovers, to put down.

Bound in a folio, hardcover beige cloth. Cover with the title stamped in dark blue. Spine re-covered in beige cloth. Wear around edges of covers, but still pretty good shape for a 100+ year old book. 2 previous owners attached bookplates to inside front cover, and it was once owned by a library who added a pocket and bar code to rear inside cover (NO stamps on plates or any other damaging library marks). 500 illustrated pages, and approx 10 text pages in German. Plates/pages: clean, and tightly bound. 13.5" x 10" (35 x 25 cm). Overall condition: Good +
