The coin has the shape of a circle, with a protruding edge on the circumference on the obverse and reverse sides. The side surface of the coin is smooth.
Obverse
At the top is a relief image of the State Emblem of the Republic of Belarus; in the center of the coin is an image of a fragment of an engraving from the work "Ars Magna Lucis et Umbrae" by German scientist A. Kircher, representing the interaction of celestial bodies; on the right is an alloy sample, under it is the trademark of JSC "Mint of Poland"; around the circle are inscriptions: at the top – REPUBLIC OF BELARUS, at the bottom – the nominal value of 20 RUBLES and the year of minting.
Reverse
In the center, against the background of a stylized image of a clock located on the clock tower in St. Mark's Square in Venice, there is a relief gilded stylized image of Aquarius, on the right in a circle the inscription: AQUARIUS; at the bottom is an insert: a transparent capsule with a movable silver–gilded filigree element in the form of aquarius.
