This is a combined edition of four Christian books published in London and Antwerp in the 1630s. The book is bound in very fine leather, with a five-tiered spine mount, gilt-stamped text design, and marbled paper on the front and rear endpapers. 

Details of the four books are as follows. The margins have been trimmed and there is some loss on a few sheets of paper, but otherwise the books are in good condition except as noted below.


1:The booke of common prayer, and administration of the sacraments : and other rites and ceremonies of the Church of England, 1634, By Robert Barker, printer to the Kings most excellent Maiestie, and by the assignes of Iohn Bill. Imprinted at London, London. In English. 62 sheets of paper (un-numbered). Church of England "Anglican Prayer Book.

2:The New Testament of our Lord and Saviour Iesus Christ. : newly translated out of the originall Greek : and with the former translations diligently compared and reuised, by his Maiesties speciall commandement," 1633, by Robert Barker, printer to the Kings most excellent Maiestie, and by the assignes of Iohn Bill. Imprinted at London, London. In English. 106 sheets of paper (no nimbles). The New Testament.

3:Imagines vitae passionis et mortis D.N.IESV CHRISTI," 1630, apud Henricum Aertssens Antverpiae (Antwerp). With 73 copperplate engravings (originally 76 in all, missing the third through fifth). Latin notation. A collection of etchings depicting the life of Jesus Christ in chronological order.
