Geriatric
Pharmaton capsule is a combination preparation containing
multivitamins-minerals , Ginseng extract G115 and Lecithin. The ginseng
extract G115 used is prepared from roots of the genuine Ginseng (Panax
Ginseng C. A. Meyer) according to a specific procedure, and contains a
constant (= standardized) amount of active ingredients. The included
vitamins, minerals and trace elements are essential substances which
generally cannot be produced by the body itself.
Indications: Geriatric Pharmaton serves as a restorative in cases of physical vitality deficiency, exhaustion and tiredness.
Furthermore,
it stimulates the mental capacity, e.g. in case of lack of
concentration, reduced attention and reduced mental responsiveness.
Geriatric Pharmaton may, furthermore be used for convalescence after
illness, as well as for compensation for an insufficient supply of
vitamins, minerals and trace elements.
Note:
A sufficient and diversified diet is the most important measure to
avoid as far as possible deficiencies of vitamins, minerals and trace
elements.
Dosage
and Administration: Usually during the first 2-3 weeks twice daily one
capsule with food preferably at breakfast and lunch. Subsequently, one
capsule at breakfast is sufficient.
The
capsules are to be swallowed in total with some liquid, without being
chewed. In case of difficulty in swallowing: cut the capsule open,
squeeze the contents onto a spoon and mix with some marmalade, honey, or
other food before taking.
Observe
the dosage indicated on the leaflet or prescribed by your physician. If
you think the effect of the drug is too weak or too strong, consult
your physician or pharmacist.
Should not use Geriatric Pharmaton capsules in the following cases:
- ln case of existing disturbances of the calcium metabolism, like increased calcium level or increased calcium excretion.
- ln case of oversupply of the body with vitamins A or D.
- ln case of renal malfunctions.
- During a therapy with retinoids (=certain acne remedies).
- ln case other drugs containing vitamin A or D are taken.
- ln case of hypersensitivity to one or several ingredients.
Pregnancy
and Lactation: Geriatric Pharmaton capsules contains vitamin A. lf you
are pregnant or could become pregnant, take Geriatric Pharmaton capsules
only after consulting your physician. The dose prescribed by the
physician must not be exceeded because an excess of vitamin A could have
a harmful effect on the unborn child, especially in the early stages of
pregnancy.
With
the consumption of large amounts of foods that contain vitamin A, the
simultaneous ingestion of Geriatric Pharmaton capsules should therefore
be avoided. You must certainly not take Geriatric Pharmaton capsules
