French Antique Porcelain Oyster Plate by Haviland & Co, with beautiful floral painting

Item description:

A beautiful French porcelain oyster plate made by famous Haviland & Co manufacture created by Theodore Haviland in Limoges. Unlike its sisters of more massive production who are bearing a repeated motif all over the surface this plate carries complicated and detailed painting of tender wildflowers. There is a main bouquet on one side of the plate echoed with a smaller group on the other. Signed on the plate's back. Made in France. Famous design of 5 wells petals for oysters or shells surrounding a centrepiece for lemon or sauce.

Dimensions:

Diameter plate: about 9" / 23 cm

Condition:

Very good antique condition. There is a tiniest 1 mm crack on the edge of the plate which seems to be more of production origin rather than of use. It can be easily repaired and will be invisible due to its size. See last pictures for details.
