This glorious gown was handmade in the 1930s. The fabric shimmers with gold threads and it is in wearable condition. From the front of the bodice there are two scarf like pieces that cascade down, these are meant to wrap around the waist and snap in an overlapping fashion to create a long flowing train. The most relavant condition issue of the dress is a water stain on the bottom of one of the train scarves. Although we have had the dress dry-cleaned, this stain was not treated. A few of the snaps may be misaligned since their placement would be custom dependent on the wearer. The shape of the dress is a column, the volume is from the train.

-The top of the straps are fraying a the very top of the shoulder
Zipper is original and works well
The dress has been cleaned, but we did not spot treat the stain.
The one hole is only about 1/2 inches long and it is in the back close to the center back slit
