This book of poetry by Vita Sackville-West was first published in 1926 by William Heinemann. This copy comes from the first printing of the 2004 Frances Lincoln edition, published in London, England. The subject of this poetry is the English countryside of Kent. Divided into four sections according to the four seasons, the poems touch on the themes of work, mortality, and the beauties of the cultivated countryside. There are four small woodcut illustrations by George Plank and a personal and scholarly introduction written by Vita's son Nigel Nicolson.
