NOTE:  The artist, Edson Fichter, was a naturalist, wildlife biologist, frustrated entomologist, and an outstanding scientific illustrator and artist.  Dr. Fichter was a teacher and professor in the Biology Department at Idaho State University during the latter half of the 1900s, and during that period produced an array of creative collages and works of art that featured Idaho's varied wildlife.
