Bound in a beautiful shell with a large cross carved into front cover. Silver clasps lock the book closed. Pages are gilded on all edges. Spine is uncovered. Illustrated with full page engraved plates that are protected by tissue guards. Printed with fine borders on text pages. Comes in a form fitting box that is pretty well worn and one hinge is missing the metal pin; however, I put a piece of a paperclip in to prevent damage. Book doesn't even appear to have ever been read. 5.25" x 4" in the box.
