Folk Acoustic Guitar Left hand / Handed Mahogany back Retail Price £239

EXCELLENT TANGLEWOOD LEFT HAND TWR2 O LH RRP when new was £239.00 Unplayed condition and a bargain price.

This Roadster II model is our left handed Folk size acoustic.

It has a Canadian Spruce top married to an Indonesian Mahogany back and sides for a classic voice tone.

We created this model after being inspired by Folk shaped left handed guitars that Paul McCartney often plays, and knowing everyone may not have the same purchase budget, we’ve tried to make the guitar as competitively priced as we can without sacrificing the integrity of the components.

Our tapered bracing system helps the guitar project really well, the Spruce top gives an instant warm tone right out of the box, and we believe any player will be inspired after playing a while on this lovely instrument.

Inspired by nature and the raw beauty of classic timber, Roadster II instruments make a truly organic and understated natural statement. We’ve long pioneered the practise of sustainable forestry in the pursuit of our art and for this latest Roadster series we match finely graded Canadian Spruce tops with traditional Indonesian mahogany back and sides to produce tonally rich instruments that sound instantly wonderful tuned up right out of the box.
We call them Roadster because to us, their cosmetic appeal evokes a sense of being close to nature… just as driving a classic open top car with the wind in your hair!

Our luthiers have to work especially hard in creating this look, finishing the smooth edging joins of the body very carefully because there is no binding added to the body of these models, therefore no margin for error. Roadster II Spruce tops are finished and sealed in high grade, low density satin lacquer and as well as capturing the stripped down raw timber cosmetic effect we envisaged on the drawing board, we are sure this also adds to their sweet sounding sonic appeal.

The Orchestra shape is almost the perfect halfway house between a dreadnought and a parlour. Its classic hourglass figure meant it sat comfortably on the knee, endearing it to players of folk and other fingerpicking-heavy styles of music. The shape ensures it has the perfect balance between playing and comfort, and was often seen on the knee of no less a player than Eric Clapton. However it wasn’t averse to a bit of heavy strumming when the occasion called, and its large bottom end ensured you can keep pace when playing with others.

Shallower than a dreadnought and narrower in width, the Orchestra shape (also known as a folk/auditorium) brings the body closer to the player. As there’s not as much mass to curve your strumming arm around, it feels more intimate and comfortable for stage use too. While losing some of the dreadnought low end, it’s popular for fingerpickers as it’s more likely to have a mid-focused quality coming through.

Tanglewood Guitars were formed in England in the latter part of the 20th century charged with an ambition to create a portfolio of instruments that would offer exceptional value through design features, both traditional & contemporary usually found on instruments at much higher prices.
Tanglewoods legendary satin finish is a design signature that is immediately recognisable, and although in the modern series line up there are many high gloss finish instruments, these guitars best demonstrate the care and attention to detail that the luthiers put into every guitar built.

Distributed in 60 countries globally, winner of the Music Industry award as UK?s All Time Best Selling Acoustic Guitars, Tanglewood still push to innovate and add value.
