Item Description


This vase was designed by Kenkichi Tomimoto, a master of modern Japanese ceramics, a Living National Treasure, and a recipient of the Order of Culture.
It appears to have been built to commemorate the anniversary of the founding of Kyoto Bank.
This year, the Kenkichi Tomimoto exhibition is being held as a special exhibition to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Nara Prefectural Museum of Art.
