1976 Bicentennial Freedom Hand Bell Society America Gorham Silver Wood Handle
Bell is made from ameralloy, wood handle and metal cap on top. The Gorham mark is on the lower rim of the bell. Embossed on one side of bell is "The Freedom Bell 1776 -1976" and opposite side is "From Every Mountain Side Let Freedom Ring -America".
This bell is from the Freedom Bell Society of America. All who had this bell were to ring the bell every year at 2:00 PM E.D.T. on every Fourth of July and at Midnight on December 31st for a unified reaffirmation of our country as stated by the Freedom Bell Society. It was to celebrate America's Bicentennial and for future years of all things that will continue to make this country great.
