Product Description: This is a typical Tsuboya yaki fish crest tea bowl made by Jiro Kinjo, a Tsuboya yaki pottery from Okinawa.

Born on December 3, 1914 in Yogi, Naha City.
In 1925 Taisho 12 , he entered Eitoku Aragaki's pottery workshop and engaged in pottery making at Tsuboya.
1945 Showa 20 The Battle of Okinawa ends.
1946 Showa 21 Built a kiln in Tsuboya, Naha City. Under the guidance of Shoji Hamada, Kanjiro Kawai, and others, he strives to protect and develop Tsuboya ware.
1958 Showa 33 The fish print platter'' and holding bottle'' are permanently preserved at the Romanian National Folk Art Museum.
1972 Showa 47 Returned to mainland Okinawa. He moved to Yomitan Village.
On November 21, 1972, he was certified as an intangible cultural property skill holder designated by Okinawa Prefecture.
On November 10, 1977, he was awarded the Minister of Labor's award as a Modern Master Craftsman.
On December 28, 1978, he collapsed due to high blood pressure and took four months of rest.1993 Heisei 5 Received the Order of the Sacred Treasure, Fourth Class.
It was revealed in 1997 that he had retired.[1]
He passed away in 2004 Heisei 16 . He passed away at the age of 92.
