Made by Peterson Precision Engineering and marketed by Gerber, the Paul knife was introduced in 1996 and discontinued in 1997 with a total production run of approximately 23,000. This folding knife has an axial locking mechanism and a carbon fiber and resin handle. This knife is assembled by hand. First production run.
The Paul button locking mechanism, designed by aerospace engineer Paul Poehlmann, is the main attraction of this folder and allows for effortless manual opening and closing of the blade. The button lock is marked "Paul" on the front and "First Production Run 1996" on the back.
