Final Fantasy Legend II, also known in Japan as SaGa 2: Hihou Densetsu, is a Game Boy role-playing video game developed and published by Square. The second entry in the SaGa series, it was launched in Japan in 1990 and in North America in 1991. Sunsoft released a later edition in North America in 1998. Square Enix published a version for the Nintendo DS in 2009, although it was only available in Japan. Square Enix later transferred the Game Boy version to the Nintendo Switch and released it worldwide in 2020, with later ports to Android, iOS, and Microsoft Windows following in 2021.
The narrative of the game follows the protagonist as they hunt for their father, who left them one of the seventy-seven mystical MAGI stones, before venturing into the worlds linked by the Pillar of Sky. During gameplay, players explore and fight in turn-based battles, with winning randomly increasing character qualities. The DS remake features a multiplayer boss arena as well as a system of ability and statistics improvements based on battle actions.
