Alfred Day Hershey [1908 1997] was an American bacteriologist and geneticist who performed experiments with bacteriophages and observed that two different strains of bacteriophage have infected the same bacteria, the two viruses may exchange genetic information. He was awarded the Nobel Prize for medicine in 1962 and was also a founding member of the World Cultural Council. Listed for auction is a photograph signed by Alfred Day Hershey. The photograph is a formal b/w image signed ''Alfred Hershey'' in blue pen. The photograph measures 5.00 x 7.00 inches and is in fine condition. The autograph is authentic, and the photograph is a nice example of this Nobel Prize recipient.
