A photo book by Paolo Roversi, Italy's proud fashion photographer. After 1980, Roversi worked primarily with 8 x 10-inch Polaroids, with little on-location work. This book contains approximately 20 years of work, consisting of 60 double-page spreads. At first glance, you might think that all the pages are just black paper with nothing printed on it, but the binding design is such that each page opens and closes one by one using a double-fold design. It is as if the reader is given a simulated experience of peeling off the Polaroid sheet after taking a photo. The collection is a mix of deeply personal works, including Roversi's own self-portraits and works featuring previously published models, but all of them were created in the studio, the place where Roversi feels most at home. You can feel the intimacy.
