Stone veneer is a new and most exciting surfacing product, created by chemically extracting raw material from actual quarried slate slabs into very thin layers of stone. This thin layer is bonded to a fibreglass backing board. Giving you a very light and flexible real stone surface and texture tile.
The textured surface and square tile design will provide a natural slate look and feel.
Veneer Tiles can be applied over nearly any solid surface wood,draywall,metal,concrete,plywood,mdf,backer board and painted surface.
Can be used interior or exterior. Sheets are Waterproof, UV Resistant and Heat Resistant as well.
Sheets can used in Bathrooms as Wetwalls. They can be grouted as well with slightly different process due to textured finish which will make them completely waterproof same as ceramic tiles. But most important is they can be stuck over existing tiles due to slim design. Meaning very quick and easy installation to renovate bathrroms

Can slate veneer be used in a shower enclosure or wet room? It can be used in wet rooms and shower enclosure, but it is important to tank the room before fixing the Slate veneer sheets to ensure the area is water proofed and use the recommended hybrid polymer or epoxy resin based adhesive.
It also important to seal the stone surface for protection and we offer sealers for this.
Can slate and stone veneer be used on fireplaces? It is heat resistant up to 120 degrees and has reached fire protection rating Cfl-s1. As long as the area of application does not go over 120 degrees then you can use our slate and stone veneers.
Do I need to seal my stone after installation?This depends on the environment the material is going into. Recommended if to be used exterior, Kitchen Splash back or in a bathroom. The sealer will protect the stone from stains and moulding. If to be used in a living room then you dont need to seal the stone.
