MEIGHAN, THOMAS. A Little Chat With Thomas Meighan. M.A. Shortle, 1924. First Edition. A little 12 page paperbound book biography. Measures 3 inches wide by 4 1/2 inches tall. Illustrated. Very good. Rare little book, which we have never encountered before in our decades of selling cinema material. Thomas Meighan was very successful silent film actor. He appeared in The Miracle Man (1919) which featured Lon Chaney Sr., Cecil B. DeMille's Male and Female (1919) and many others. “In March 1923, Douglas Gerrard, in need of help bailing his friend Rudolph Valentino out of jail for bigamy, called a fellow Irishman named Dan O'Brien who happened to be with Meighan at the time. Meighan barely knew Valentino but put up a large chunk of the bail money,”
