Beautiful rare and intact early Federal style pine fireplace mantle, circa 1792-1820.

Reserved from a now demolished row house on historic Division Street (previously named Bone Lane) in the capital city of Albany, New York.

All original as found. No missing pieces, rot or damage.

We own a second nearly identical mantle that has been refinished to its original beauty. The SECOND AND THIRD PICTURES ARE NOT THE ONE FOR SALE! I AM POSTING IT SO YOU CAN SEE WHAT THE PAINTED MANTLE COULD LOOK LIKE!
You can see the gorgeous patina and simple elegant detail and design elements.

Notice the black paint showing through on the mantle. This is often associated with mourning, and most often was a trend after the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln in 1865. Lots of history here.

Exterior dimensions of the painted unrestored mantel:
Height: 54 3/4"
Width: 74 1/4"
Mantle top depth: 8"

Interior firebox dimensions:
