ORIGINALE PAPSTBULLE AUF PERGAMENT MIT BLEISIEGEL - 1587

Sixtus, auch "der eiserne Papst" genannt, reformierte mit harter Hand die verwahrlosten Zustände in Rom, sorgte für hohe Staatseinnahmen und rege Bautätigkeit, in der zahlreiche Prachtbauten entstanden. "Sixtus, der im allgemeinen als bedeutender Papst gilt, wurde von seinen Untertanen verabscheut; auf die Nachricht von seinem Tod hin stürzte die Volksmenge seine Statue auf dem Kapitol um" (Kelly, Lex. d. Päpste).

BESCHREIBUNG

Außerordentlich gut erhaltene Papstbulle mit intaktem, schweren Bleisiegel des ausgehenden 16. Jahrhunderts. Gleichmäßige und in sauberer Handschrift verfasste Bulle an den Erzbischof von Mailand (zu dieser Zeit war das Gaspare Visconti, von 1585-1590).

Darin wird dem Pfarrer von San Prospero, Giovanni Simonetta, der Tausch seines Hauses "in Porta orientali" gegen das den Brüdern Giovanni Battista und Alessandro de Serbelloni gehörige "in contrada Braire" (Brera) erlaubt. Mit umfangreichen Angaben zu den Einzelheiten und Vertragsbedingungen.

Mit kalligraphischer Einleitungszeile und Zierinitialen sowie am Ende mit verschiedenen Unterschriften der Notare des Papstes, in der Plica weiterer kalligraphischer Schriftzug.

Das Bleisiegel mit der üblichen Siegelsymbolik der Päpste auf der einen Seite und auf der anderen mit „SIXTUS PAPA V.“.

Eine in dieser sehr guten Erhaltung befindliche Papstbulle ist äußerst selten. Beiliegend alte handschriftliche Erklärung zur vorliegenden Bulle auf Bütten.

41-zeilige Handschrift in brauner Tinte. Blattgröße: 60 x 42 cm; Schriftspiegel: 53 x 34 cm; Plica: 6 cm; Durchmesser Siegel: 4 cm.

In Latein. Auf Pergament, 1 Seite voll beschrieben, verso mit zwei weiteren Kommentaren.

In sehr guter Erhaltung. Pergamentbedingt minimal gebräunt und fleckig. Mehrfach gefaltet.

DESCRIPTION

Exceptionally well preserved papal bull with intact, heavy lead seal from the end of the 16th century. Uniformly and in clean handwriting written bull to the Archbishop of Milan (at that time it was Gaspare Visconti, from 1585-1590).

In it the parish priest of San Prospero, Giovanni Simonetta, is allowed to exchange his house "in Porta orientali" for the one "in contrada Braire" (Brera) belonging to the brothers Giovanni Battista and Alessandro de Serbelloni. With calligraphic introductory line and ornamental initials and at the end with various signatures of the Pope's notaries, in the plica further calligraphic writing.

A papal bull in this very good condition is extremely rare. Enclosed an old handwritten explanation of this bull on handmade paper.
