The service dress blue jumper slack maintains the thirteen buttons as the historical trouser, however they are not functional and there is a hidden front zipper. 

• The lace used to tighten the waist area should be tied from the bottom up and the excess lace tucked into the slack. The slack should fit comfortable, not loosely around the waist without bagging at the seat.

• May be prescribed for year round to all official functions when dinner or full dress uniforms are prescribed and civilian equivalent dress is coat and tie
