A fabulous, LARGE Sculpture of an Egyptian Pharaoh.
This is a striking, statement sculpture of a Pharaoh. He is carrying the Crook and Flail, traditional attributes that were typical of the Deity Osiris, and became symbols of Pharaonic authority. The Flail stood for fertility and the Crook for Kingship.
Signed but we can't quite make out what the name is, there is a copyright sign and the date 2004. We think it was made in the Philippines as we acquired this and couple of other Egyptian sculptures from the same source and one of the others had a stamp stating made in the Philippines. (Can be lifted by most people.) The seller said they'd been told these pieces were film props. We have an Anubis dog listed separately
Condition- Good condition, there is a small scratch to the base of the right elbow, and a couple more minor scratches to the rear right calf., but none of these affect look or structure. Please see all pics & check carefully.
