The very popular Alfred All-in-One series
beginner pianist books provide both the piano teacher and student the
convenience of having lesson pieces, theory and written theory exercises, and
solo (recital) pieces in a single book. Each page addressing specific
skills, musical and theory concepts, or providing a piece in which to apply new
skills and concepts, the student having only to bring one book to lessons makes
for much easier organization for the student. As a piano teacher, I have
been using the Alfred All-in-One books for more than 20 years. I find
that not only do students like this series but also obtain a wealth of
knowledge and a firm foundation on which to build toward advancement in
studying piano performance.
