A fantastic pair of vintage French corduroy pants! The word corduroy was coined in the UK around the late 18th Century using the French translation of "cloth of the King" which is "corde du roi." This 9 wale corduroy pair of trousers is from the 1940's. The waist closure is a hook and eye and button fly. It has two side pockets, a small key pocket at the front waist, and one back pocket~ the lace up leg at the calf is a feature we think is trés cool! The color is a wonderful dark chocolate brown.
