Antique China Head Doll High Brow Flat Top 1860's Cloth body 19 inches German

Listed here is a 19 inch, German, China Head Shoulder Doll with High Brow Flat Top Hair style with white center part wearing a red Gingham dress doll dates from Civil War era, 1860's-1870's. Owner just found her red coat so we are adding this to the listing.

Doll has cotton body that was probably restored and well made red Gingham dress  and coat made decades ago. Doll has porcelain hands and shoes.

I find no maker's mark.

Doll has a lovely painted face with blush on her cheeks, closed mouth, painted brows and blue eyes. She has a faint smile and slightly upturned eyes.

Doll has porcelain hands and porcelain boots. I find no cracks, chips. Back of dolls head shows light rubbing.


Owner of the doll relates that her mother acquired the doll in 1970's or so. Doll is very clean. I do see light crazing on porcelain shoulders. I also note some staining on the dress.
