~*~ Hello and welcome to the Textile Trunk! Please follow us on Instagram @textiletrunk ~*~

A wonderful pair of French peasant travaille bleus ~ these textiles are such wonderful finds! These trousers are produced using a heavy cotton denim that has been softly worn, built to withstand time and daily work use! The tone is lovely deep and faded blue. ~ These pants date to the 1950's, have a hook and eye waist closure with a button fly. There are two side pockets, one back pocket, and a knife (or paintbrush!) pocket on the bag of the right leg. Lovely faded dyed cotton. This pair has a lot of life left to give! Either worn as is or cut guilt free to incorporate to a number of crafts and projects ~ Unique, one of a kind always ~ These textiles were used throughout the French countryside and can still be seen today.

CONDITION: These vintage pants are wonderful but have lots of fading and wear, especially where you would expect it the most: waist band, pocket seams, cuffs, etc.. The topmost waistband button is missing, the waistband seam is open most of the way around at the top, and they are scattered with pea-sized or smaller holes~ some have been mended! Storage fading and marks throughout~ please see photos and use the zoom feature for a closer look at the condition!
