These 17 advertising pages were by Delta Air Lines. Each ad is about an individual Delta employee: Pilots, stewardesses, flight attendants, reservation agents, mechanics etc.

1st ad (1970) has a photo of a Kris Conrad, a Delta Air Lines stewardess. Ad text is “You are bright, resourceful, alert, cool, collected, sociable, reliable, bubbly, confident and pretty. That gives you 1 chance in 25 of becoming a Delta Air Lines stewardess. Like Kris Conrad. Delta is ready when you are.”

2nd ad (1970) is also of a Kris Conrad. Ad text is “Delta is an air line run by professionals like Kris Conrad, stewardess. Pretty, alert, efficient, confident and sociable. Chosen from 25 applicants. You’ll have a nice trip because we have 2,300 Kris Conrads! Delta is ready when you are.”

3rd ad (1971) has a photo of George Ross, a Delta Air Lines pilot. Ad text is “Delta is an airline run by professionals. Like George Ross. 3 ½ years Navy pilot. 19 years with Delta. Has 17,000 hours, over 6 million miles in a Delta cockpit. Now Super DC-8 Captain. When you’re flying it’s nice to know there’s a George Ross up front. Delta is ready when you are.”

4th ad (1971) has a photo of a Delta Reservationist, named Janet Cook. She is shown at her computer terminal (Deltamatic it’s called). Ad text is “Delta is an airline run by professionals. Like Janet Cook, reservationist. Alert, efficient, friendly. Knows everything about fares, tours, schedules. Confirms space in 3-seconds with her Deltamatic computer. Next trip, fly the all-pro air line. Delta is ready when you are.”

5th ad (1971) has a photo of a Delta mechanic, named Joe Leyden. He is shown working on a jet engine. Ad text is “If experience makes a pro, this man has 11 years on jets. If it’s skill, he has 2 FAA licenses. And if it’s some personal quality, he’s got what it takes. He’s Joe Leyden, Delta lead mechanic. Another Delta professional. Delta is ready when you are.”

6th ad (1972) has a photo of a Delta pilot, named Dana Jones. He is shown in a Boeing 747 cockpit. There is also a photo of a Delta 747 with the crew lined up in front of it. Ad text starts “Delta is an airline run by professional…” and goes on about Dana Jones.

7th ad (1972) has a photo of a Delta reservation agent, (called Reservationist in the ad), Nancy Palmer. She is shown at her computer terminal. There is also a photo of a Delta DC-10 airplane. Ad text starts “Delta is an airline run by professional” and goes on about Nancy Palmer and the reservationist’s job.

The following ads all have a photo of a Delta Airlines Lockheed L-1011 TriStar and a USA route map.

8th ad (1975) has a photo of Passenger Service Agent Tom Sineath helping a young customer. Ad text starts “Delta is an air line run by professionals” and goes on about Sineath and his job.

9th ad (1977) has a photo of one of Delta’s pilots (Captain John Richards) at the controls. Ad text starts “Delta is an airline run by professionals” and goes on about Richards.

10th ad (1977) has a photo a stewardess (okay, flight attendant) named Susan Holland, serving dinner. Ad text starts “Delta is an airline run by professionals" and goes on about Susan and her job.

11th ad (1977) has a photo of a male ticket agent helping a customer. He is John Riley. Ad text starts “Delta is an airline run by professionals" and goes on about Riley and his job.

12th ad (1977) has a photo of Walter Doll, a Delta flight superintendent, on a telephone. Ad text starts “Delta is an airline run by professionals” and goes on about Walter and his job.

13th ad (1978) has a photo of one of Delta’s Senior Customer Services Agents helping a couple with their baggage tags. She is Bianca Bohrer. Ad text starts “Delta is an air line run by professionals” and goes on about Bianca and her job.

14th ad (1978) has a photo of Captain Frank Moynahan, one of Delta’s pilots in an airplane cockpit. Ad text starts “Delta is an airline run by professionals" and goes on about Moynahan and his job.

16th ad (1978) has a photo of Dot Turnipseed, one of Delta’s Ticket Sales Agents, helping a Mom and young son with their boarding passes. Ad text starts “Delta is an air line run by professionals" and goes on about Dot and her job.

17th ad (1979) has a photo of one of Delta’s pilots and 2 stewardesses. They are Captain Joe Kelly and Flight Attendants Sherry Ellis and Pat Coleman. Ad text starts “Delta is an air line run by professionals" and goes on about the captain.

These ads are full page, each approx. 7” x 10”, carefully removed from actual 1970 through 1979 magazines.
