Ludwigia palustris also known as Marsh Seedbox or Water Purslane, is a beautiful plant indigenous to North America that has potential to reach radiant red/pink coloration under optimal conditions! With good care, this hardy, quick growing plant can flourish and highlight the middle or background of the aquascape with beautiful coloration. It can thrive in low light low tech settings, but it only has the potential for complete red coloration with higher lighting and good supplements. Ludwigia palustris has a very fast growth rate and trimmings can be replanted. It does not require CO2 supplementation but like most plants it will benefit from plant supplements such as Seachem Flourish, Flourish Excel, Flourish Nitrogen, Flourish Iron, and other quality aquarium supplements.
