CONDITION: We are pleased to offer for sale a Fenton Cranberry Opalescent Coin Dot large hanging torpedo lamp. This lamp was made circa the 1950s. These lamps sometimes came with a 12" chain for hanging on a hook. Our lamp was made to be hard wired directly into the ceiling. It can be reused in that manner, or it could be used with a hook by adding a regular lamp cord and a length of chain.This lovely lamp has amazing color and fantastic opalescence The color is vivid. The glass parts of this lamp are in Undamaged Condition without chips, cracks, or mold damage. The large globe fits between two matching brass plated fixtures. The top fixture is attached by a single chain link to the ceiling fixture. There is minor wear from age on the metal (please check out the photos provided above in the listing). This is not excessive and is not seen when the lamp is hung. The cranberry coins on this lamp shade are fairly even around the lamp. Most of the ones we have seen are much less even due to the massive size of the globe. We pictured both sides of the beautiful piece so that you can judge this for yourself. This outstanding lamp is very hard to find. You will love adding this lovely lamp to your home.
Coin Dot Fenton's Coin Dot pattern was introduced in 1947. The original colors that entered the regular line that year were Blue Opalescent, Cranberry, and French Opalescent. Coin Dot was one of Fenton's most successful and popular patterns for years.
