For Sale we are delighted to present this beautiful Antique 19th Century monogram signed oil painting on wooden panel of a milk maid herding & watering cattle monogram signed by Edmond Jean-Baptiste Tschaggeny (Belgian, active 1818-1873)

Monogram signed to bottom right corner & dated 44 for 1844 mid range of the artist's career, also note the Christie's catalogue stenciled number's to rear.

Condition Restored condition the panel has had a split top to bottom slightly left of centre, very sympathetic partial restoration the split glued to rejoin the panel as one with minor painted area to make almost invisible. This can only be seen if holding to an awkward angle of light that the painting wouldn't be viewed when in situ, certainly wouldn't bother me but I do offer full return option if you're displeased. Frame solid no major losses repainted.
