This is an air dried spalted rock maple trunk slab. This slab measures approximately 42 1/2 - 30 1/2 inches wide by approximately 16 inches long by approximately 2 1/8 thick. There are a few edge defects I have provided photos for. Please assume that there may be areas that require hardening or stabilization. Overall this is a nice piece with pretty spalting and intriguing grain patterns. I can't guarantee moisture content. There are some end checks that do not appear to be overly deep. I have hit both sides with a hand planer to show the figure better. This slab will require work for flattening.
