Description

This is a rare opportunity to get a brand new, mint condition Gradion--straight from a sealed master shipping carton from Takara!  It was released in 2001, and I'm selling all units from the carton.  Your bid is for (1) Gradion action figure.  (The master cardboard carton image is included here for authentication only and won't ship; it holds all 4 figures that are up for auction.)

Gradion, now sometimes called Gladion, is the main hero and figure in the Web Diver series.  It can transform on a stand-alone basis between vehicle or figher mode.  In vehicle mode, it's a futuristic steam locomotive. In fighter mode, it's a powerful robot warrior with sword and shield.  

Gradion also features a built-in TV game, though it is in Japanese and from 20 years ago.  It connects to a TV via a 3-plug video cable (NTSC signal) and can be played in a battle or train mode game.  At the time, it was reported that when you transform the character, it will also transform on the screen; I haven't ever opened one to try that feature, though.

  

There are additional Web Knights characters in the Web Diver series--not included in this auction but on ebay--that can be added to Gradion to expand him into differant attack modes.

Additional Details

I owned an online store when this item was released, so it was received in manufacturer-sealed cartons and never touched by the public.  I opened a carton of figures I had been commercially storing just for this listing.  As collectors of Japanese items from this era know, the items are sealed with tape and not shrinkwrapped; any with shrinkwrap was added once they were received in the US.
