Description:

A beautiful green glass lidded jar with a silver collar, hallmarked for David Loebl of Schindler & Co.

Loebl imported Bohemian glass to the UK and his company put English silver collars on. The glass is a bright "Tango" style. He is known to have imported glass from famous makers like Kralik and Rindskopf but I do not know the maker of this jar.

Identifying Marks / Makers Marks: Hallmarked on the collar DL (David Loebl), "l" (1926), the lion passant (silver) and a leopard's head (London).
Age / date of manufacture:

1926

Size: Measures 3 3/8" (8.5 cm) tall to the top of the stopper and measures 1 5/8" (just over 4 cm) across the base.

Condition: In fair antique used condition. The glass bottle is in good condition with no chips or cracks, it has age related wear on the base and a flake from the side of the ground base of the stopper (please see the photographs). The silver collar has multiple dents but has not split and the glass underneath is undamaged.
