Here is a souvenir gift ornament from The Gift Corner in Kannapolis, N.C. The cannon might well be the symbol for the founder of the city, JW Cannon. The ornament was made in 1994 by Virginia Metalcrafters. VM items are sought after since the factory closed down in the mid 1990's. I have 5 of these ornaments. They came from an estate and they were packed away, so they do need to be cleaned and shined up, but I don’t think they were ever used.
