CONDITION: We are pleased to offer for sale a pink satin large Horse-drawn Carriage powder jar. This pretty jar was made in the 1930s  by L.E. Smith. This jar is is one of the most difficult of all the Depression Era powder jars to find. This lovely jar has only been found in pink, green, and crystal satin. The feet on this lovely jar are without damage. Most of the jars that have been found have chipped feet. This beautiful jar is in Undamaged Condition without chips, cracks, or mold damage. The color of the jar is outstanding. This powder jar bottom is free of the sickness or residue that is sometimes acquired from the products that were stored in them. This lovely powder jar still has some of its original hand painting on it. The paint is a coldpaint and is not usually still intact. It can be removed completely but we prefer to let the collector decide if they would like to keep it
intact.
Pink Horse Drawn Carriage Powder (1930s) Two different styles the of "Horse-drawn Coach" may be found - round and square. The finial is a stagecoach pulled by a two-horse team. The round base has six half-circle feet that are embossed with spokes. The top half of the wheel is embossed into the base of the powder jar. Also, embossed around the base are prancing horses with coachmen who are wearing top hats and knee-length coats. This jar has been found in green satin and pink satin and crystal satin. Some of the finials have been found decorated with white, black, yellow and gold trim.
