You are bidding for a video record of the long discarded 16mm film described below.   When the film  was made it provided a unique insight into its particular subject.  Over the last thirty years a number of enthusiasts realised that such films provided an untapped source of information on past techniques and methods At some time in the past it would have been rescued after being discarded as obsolete by the original owners .

Any money raised from the sale of this video will go towards offsetting the costs of more rescues.

433 Britain goes to Monte Carlo was complied by Danny Carter 

Black and White account of the 1956 Monte Carlo Rally  which must have been one of the last events where the majority of the entrants were family saloons Austin A 55  The Event was won by Adams in big Jaguar Mark VII?  Plenty of Gendarmes directing traffic  memorable sights include a spare driver relaxing in his duffle coat with cigarette holder  many of the drivers smoked while some of the lady driver wore fetching hats. This was Sheila Van Damm’s last event before retiring.. Several cars finished with spectacular dents . Finishes with a look at a Motor Show display.  This seems to be an independent Non sponsored report by Danny and Gwen Carter with the commentary spoken by Ron Mason . Black and White 25 minutes
